At Idle Time Gardens, we grow exceptional flowers with care and intention. Grown in the rich soil of Slate Hill, NY, our blooms are cultivated organically—without the use of harmful fertilizers or pesticides—ensuring beauty that’s both natural and sustainable.

We proudly specialize in over 100 varieties of dahlias in a wide spectrum of colors, forms, and sizes. These garden showstoppers begin blooming in early August, bringing vibrant texture and elegance to our fields and floral arrangements.

Before the dahlias take center stage, our gardens burst into color in July with a curated mix of seasonal favorites. These include cheerful zinnias, fragrant basil, delicate cosmos, stately snapdragons, airy amaranthus, beautiful lisianthus, eucalyptus and classic sunflowers. Our thoughtfully selected perennials—such as yarrow, gladiolus, tulips, peonies, hydrangeas, lilies, and irises—complement the palette, offering timeless beauty from early summer through fall.
